Bp. Joseph Perry Administers the Subdiaconate to Four
On the First Saturday of February, Our Lady’s day, four men sought to advance along the path to the Priesthood of Christ. The Most Rev. Joseph Perry, Auxiliary Bishop of Chicago, traveled to Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary in Denton, where, on Saturday, February 7, 2015, he administered the Subdiaconate to four seminarians.
The Subdiaconate conveys the privilege of touching the sacred vessels, chanting the Epistle, and the responsibility of preparing the necessities of the Eucharist. With God’s grace, these men will be raised to the Diaconate in the month of March.
